Build a Generative AI Enabled Web App

AWS-Hosted Event Only

This lab is only available as part of an AWS-run or hosted event. While the steps can be read by anyone, the resources needed to complete the steps will not be provisioned unless AWS are hosting and provisioning the event.

[Welcome!](https://catalog.us-east-1.prod.workshops.aws/event/dashboard/en-US/workshop#welcome!)

In this lab, you'll learn how to integrate Amazon Bedrock  with an existing web application to leverage large language models (LLMs) and provide generated responses to a prompt. By the end, you'll have gained practical experience in using Amazon Bedrock to enhance your applications with context-aware insights from LLMs.

This lab is subdivided into workflows, which build on each other, so should be completed in order.

Expected time for completion of all workflows in this lab is 60 minutes.

Intended Audience

This is a foundational or level 100 lab, and we assume you are newly learning about cloud and how to use cloud services. We also assume you have heard of Generative AI and are interested in using it in your apps. This lab was developed for further/higher education students who are learning to code web applications. We expect you to have some coding experience, preferably HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. We assume you are new to LLM APIs and cloud computing. A separate lab is available which uses Python instead of JavaScript for the Amazon Bedrock API calls.
